Dan and I decided to have a final get-a-way before our baby gets here. On the way, we decided on a name for our boy... Simon! We don't have the middle name figured out, but this is the first time we started calling him by his name.
On Friday night, we stayed with Joy and Ian. It was so much fun to spend time with them. The girls are getting so big and so cute! Joy and Ian spoiled us with lots of stuff for Simon. They are giving us a crib, dresser, carrier, high chair, Baby Einstein cds, and more! We are so thankful for their generosity!
On Saturday after spending time with them, we went off on our own to explore. We went to the 6th floor museum to try to find out what happened to JFK. We had both been there on our 8th grade trip but thought it would be fun to check out again. That night we went to dinner at Macaroni Grill. Afterwards we went to Barnes and Nobles to look at baby books. We realize that we are getting old when that is a what we do for a date! :)
Sunday we got to have lunch with Steve, Julie, and Grani. We of course went to a Mexican place! Afterwards we walked around with Steve and Julie before heading off to Fort Worth. We spent the rest of the day in FW going to the Kimball Art Museum, Stockyards (yes, even Billy Bob's Honky Tonk), and had dinner in the Sundance area.
On Monday we hit the outlet malls and had a quick lunch with Leslie before leaving town. Overall it was a great last trip for the two of us. We really enjoyed our time just the two of us but are so excited to have Simon join us on our adventures!
